The <A HREF="id34.htm" TARGET="_top" TITLE="USAF">Air Force</A>, however, didn't send me to as many places as you might expect, and some of those, such as Goose Bay, Labrador and Fairbanks, Alaska weren't exactly garden spots.</div> <bR> <div> <A HREF="id35.htm" TARGET="_top" TITLE="TWA">TWA</A> flew to more interesting places than did USAF, but the layovers at the international stations normally were no longer than 24 to 36 hours. Still, I flew to Vienna, Austria; Nassau and Freeport, Bahamas; Brussels, Belgium, Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic; London, England; Paris, France; Berlin, Frankfurt, and Stuttgart, Germany; Athens, Greece; Limerick, Ireland; Tel Aviv, Israel; Milan, Rome, and Venice, Italy; Montego Bay, Jamaica; Amsterdam, Netherlands; Oslo, Norway; Lisbon, Portugal; San Juan, Puerto Rico; Barcelona and Madrid Spain; Zurich, Switzerland; Istanbul, Turkey. </div> <bR> <div> On TWA's domestic system I got to all but a few of the many destinations TWA served during my 32+ years on the property.  Some I missed were Knoxville TN, Lexington KY, Palm Springs CA, and Providence RI.</div> <bR> <div> My <A HREF="id36.htm" TARGET="_top" TITLE="TRAVEL">personal travel</A> has been even more extensive than that with the Air Force or TWA, and I've been able to stay longer and see more. I have traveled in Australia, Austria, the Bahamas, Belize, Cambodia, Canada, Cayman Islands, China, Croatia, the Czech Republic, Finland, France, Germany, Gibraltar, Greece, Honduras, Hungary, Ireland, Italy, Jamaica, Liechtenstein, Mexico, Poland, Portugal, Puerto Rico, St. Martin, Slovakia, Slovenia, South Africa, the Soviet Union (Russia), Spain, Thailand, Turkey, the United Kingdom (England, Northern Ireland, Scotland, and Wales), Vietnam, and the U.S. Virgin Islands. </div> <bR> <div> The list of places I've been includes every state except North Dakota; despite encouragement from some to make a special effort to include it, I think I'll pass.</div> </td> </tr></table></body>
